Well, Kind of...Mississippi Power is building this expensive power plant that will use "clean coal" what ever that is.  It has cost 3 times what they said it would and they just said it's going to cost even more than the last estimate! They raised rates a while back and some guy took them to court over it.  The guy won, so now we're all getting refunds!  Mine will be less than most because my power bill here at the shop isn't real high.  My house is supplied by a different company, Dixie
Electric.  I'd have got a bundle from it because the fish room uses a lot of juice.

Still, $350. will come in handy.  Checks will start going out Now 9th.  Just around the time my land taxes are due.

Well good for you...........the power companies think they can pass on any costs that they want....nice to hear they now have to pay back some to you folks...

I can't believe that the guy who brought suit won against Great big Missisippi Power.  The guy is running for some local office now.  A customer of mine his campaign card the other day.  I never vote in local elections (I know, my bad) but I'm sure gonna vote for this Robin Hood.

Yeah. We get to pay for the nuke plant they screwed up and we get to pay for the new nuke plant they're not going to build. How I loathe Duke Energy. We've got the highest rates in FL and IIRC in the southeast.
And like Obama said in 08 if you try to build a new coal plant it will bankrupt you.

We're still waiting for our 'smart meters' that we've been paying for......go figure, we pay for smart meters, they lay off meter readers and keep the $$$'s...what a scam.....
