Happy Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Thanks for the birthday wishes. We are in for another wonderful day here with the current temp at 69 degrees and topping off at 74F this afternoon. Unlike recent days we have a 32% chance of rain later on today. I'll keep my fingers crossed for some of that much needed rain.

Barb I know Gaithersburg well and I am sorry to hear about the tornado activity in that area. My friend lives in Silver Spring which is just a few miles away from there and she didn't get any tornado activity in her area.

I am in the process of doing WCs on the Discus tank at the moment. Draining the tanks takes a few minutes but refilling it is another story. I need to get a new carbon block filter to increase the flow of the tap water into that tank.

I will probably be putting some tanks up for sale on Market Place pretty soon because it is unlikely that I will be setting them up again anytime soon.

I could put them up for sale at one of our upcoming garage sales but that would require me to move them from my basement to the garage. If they don't sell, I would then have to bring them back down into the basement. That's not going to work for me.

Hopefully you all will have a great day. I will check in later to see how you guys are making out today.

Too Many Fish. Not Enough Tanks.

Hi Willie!  Back in the day, I worked for a construction company that had an office in Gaithersburg.  We would occasionally fly there to help out with bidding a very large job.  Way too much traffic and people for a country boy like me. Lol

I thought a cherry pie would be nice with dinner, so I rode out to Mom's for some cherry pickin'.

Pie turned out pretty well.  These are considered sour cherries so the pie was nice and tart.  Yummy desert for the baked salmon and fresh garden salad meal.

Here's hoping everyone had a wonderful day!

Dennis, that cherry pie looks delicious. I'm supposed to stay away from that kind of stuff but I would make an exception for some of that pie. |^|  |^|  |^|

Thanks Willie!  If we weren't so far apart I'd bring you over a slice.  ;)

Dennis that pie looks wonderful!
Warm with  vanilla ice cream would be heaven for me!!!  I cant imagine a cherry tree that birds and other wildlife wouldn't devour, but you sure have one there.  Willie, good plan with your empty tanks. How is Kobe?  Dennis do you have pets?  I am down to 2 cats and a bunch of fish. Hi Ron, read all you are up to, good luck with that fish and plant business!

Hi Barb. Kobe is still hanging in there (thanks for asking) but I know it won't be for much longer. At this time I never know what dog I am going to wake to in the morning. One day he will be in his energetic Jack Russell mode and then the following day he will be a low energy dog that just wants to sleep all day. Last week the vet said that he is doing ok for a dog his age but we know that it is only a matter of time. He is not suffering and still likes to greet his dog and human friends. He also still eats like a pig.

Hi Barb!  I have one 75 gallon tank with what's left of my collection of Danios.

I'll probably get me a female Rottweiler when I decide I'm not going to do any more traveling.
