Day 2 of no power.  We had another big thorm come in last night, but no damage around here that I have seen.  We're supposed to have more this afternoon.  If fact, this thormy weather pattern will continue for several days.

I had a shipping disaster with a 25 Dutch Blues I sent to Sugar Daddy.  I was so excited to have my new heat sealer so I didn't have to tie a knot in the bag.  Only 1 bag of 5 fish made it without the seal breaking.  Of course I will replace the fish and ship them at my expense.  After all, this is my sugar daddy.

I'm supposed to have another bulk order of 25 blacks and 20 dutch blues going out tomorrow, but with this chaos, I'm going to have to put him off until later in the week.  I just can't think with cords running everywhere.  Cleaning is almost impossible.  One nice thing for the fish is with all the rain and heat my mosquito cultures are going great guns.  The Discus are having a party.

I'll go to the feed store in a bit for old Charlotte.  I also have a couple of things I want to take to the Goodwill store not far from the feed store.  Then I'll head back home and see if there isn't something I can get done before the midday heat.
Always move forward. Never look back.

The power came on at noon.  I had just come home and was resting in the fish room and the lord said, let there be overhead lights and fluorescents came on.

It's thorming again.  It the thorms are strong but it doesn't for more than a few hours and it stops.  Today was mostly overcast so the ground didn't dry out quite as well, but there's not a "swamp" on the way to feed the horse.

I've got everything plugged in the right place.  The generator is finally off.  I'm going to wait until tomorrow to roll up and put all those heavy contractor's cords away.  Between yesterday and today I'm totally done in.  I'm going to chill and watch fish for a bit then hobble in to bed.
Always move forward. Never look back.

glad you got power back Liz!  Here it is hot and very dry, sure need some rain.  Crops are now drying out in farmer's fields. So sad when that happens.  I am using my hose a lot.  Hope you all are doing OK today.  See you tomorrow,
Barb

Liz, so happy for you that you got your power back but I'm sorry about your shipping mishap. I'm sure your Sugar Daddy will be very happy with your replacement shipment.
