In slow mo here but coffee is still very good. I still manages to get my walk in today but it was rough. The weather is great even though it was a little cool (58) for my taste this morning.

Not much of anything going on today. A BBQ that I was supposed to go to today was in fact held yesterday. huh Anyway I have some hot dogs and brats that I can throw on the grill if I feel the urge for some BBQ.

It's labor day so I'm laboring.  Picking up all the all the rotted lumber from my old stands and trimmings from building the new ones, hauling them off to the burn pile and setting them alight.  Earlier I finally got the outside containers I kept the fish in for the rebuild kind of out of the way and looking a bit tidier out back.  the back is no work of art, for sure but it's neater than it was and nobody sees it but me.

I was left with several pieces of ply wood that I can use to fix-up the shed that the horses will use once I move them to the new pasture.  The horses will get half and I'll use half for storage.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Not quite that much but I'll will have to run in to town for more at some point.

I got the first load tossed on the burn pile but decided it was too dry for a great conflagration.

Load two on the burn pile.  Only one more load to haul and a couple of big good pieces to put aside for the shed.  I've had enough for today, though.  I can no longer do a fraction of what I could many years ago.  A word to the wise.  Once you get old, don't get depressed and sit and stare at your shoes for two years.  If you get out of shape when you're young it's easy to get back into shape.  When you're old you just can't get back what you've lost.  I'll drink a beer, eat, make a beer run to town, do WC and chill for the rest of the day.  The lumber will still be there waiting for me tomorrow after work.
Always move forward. Never look back.

I am naturally sedentary but my work keeps me in shape. Back when I drank like a madman I had all kinds of energy to get stuff done. Now that I have cut way back, I sit on my ass a lot. Its an imperfect world.
