Good morning everybody!Hope you all have a good day coming up.  I am anxiously waiting to hear if my daughter and son in law will be getting a little rescue Chihuahua they found online.  They have decided to get a dog, their first pet, and are as excited as new parents.  I am too, since I have no grandchildren, I am happy to have their pets.  Will let you know how it goes.  If they don't get her, there are other dogs at the shelter to choose from I think.

Good morning Barb and everyone. I am so glad that all that rain I got yesterday finally moved out of here. Today is going to be a nice sunny day with light winds and the temp topping out in the mid 50s. I'll take it.

My grass is starting to green up again and the robins have been here about a week. Another sign that spring is right around the corner.

I have a few errands to run including getting Kobe's food so I am going to need to stop at the gas station. Gas Buddy is showing $4.29 at the gas station I usually go to. The Sam's club has it at $4.19 but I will spend more money driving there that any savings I would get.

Have a great day everyone.

And a lovely Thursday it is ;D

Barb, the rain missed us too.  We needed it but since our soil is different from yours we didn't need it as much as you.

The sun has finally come out.  The skies are a beautiful blue that I felt like I'd never see again.  It will be warmer today, too.  Almost 70!  It had been cloudy cold and drizzly for too many days.

Today I get to stay home, make egg rolls, sweep, make egg rolls, and maybe even mop but I doubt it.

Ken didn't get my red shrimp in yesterday but he did want the fish and shrimp I had bagged and ready to go for him.  Since I have a pretty decent credit with him, I got a little money for my empty wallet.  I also met a serious fish guy while I was there.  A rarity here.

Have a wonderful day friends.

Good day coming up here too... it will get to 70 with sunny skies...

Barb, that's exciting about your kids getting a dog...since Murphy died  :'( we really miss having a dog, but we are out so much it's nice not having to be home at a certain time to feed and walk one...when any of our friends come to play cards or dominoes we insist that they bring their dogs...we get to pet and play with them and the dogs have toys here to play with and get very comfortable...

Thanks for the J moss, Barb...it arrived fine...

Gas Buddy shows our gas is $4.59 all around me...got it yesterday at Costco for $4.259...

I hope all of you are having a good day...
Happy Aquariuming,

I'm very lucky.  I topped of the tank yesterday.  Gas was $3.79.  When I filled up at the same place last week it was $3.49.  In Hattiesburg the lowest I saw it was $4.17.  Just like terrible days pass this will pass as well.  It sure is tough having to suffer through it, though.

We passed a Chevron going to eat lunch at Jersey Mike's a bit ago and gas was 4.85. On the way home it was 4.97!!!

I drove into Ellisville because I ran out of Chinese BBQ pork.  I needed it for my egg rolls and I guess I'd eaten it all up.  It's extremally delicious.  https://thewoksoflife.com/chinese-bbq-pork-cha-siu/

Yesterday afternoon it had gone to $3.79.  This morning it was $3.99.  I know it's hard on everyone but since I'm living on SS out here in the middle of nowhere nothing is close.  It's a kick in the head but I know that either I'll get through it or die before it gets better.  I know that it will get worse.  I can handle it because I'm good at making do with little and I know in my heart that it will get better.  It very well might be different but all things considered it will better.

My mother called herself a fatalist. "Que sera sera, what will be will be."  I'm more optimistic than that.  I believe that everything will work out for the best.  It may not be what would be the best for us, but it will be the best for the planet.  Face it.  We're raping the earth and have been since the industrial revolution.
