...and thrilling it is!...our temp will be in the low 80s today...and SUNNY!...

...it's getting close to time for me to prep my taxes to send to the accountant...ugh!...but not today!...it's nice enough from me to go out and finish the latest dragonstone piece, or at least almost finish it!...and this afternoon I have a telemed appt with my pain doc or PA...

...did a little more work on my shrimp rack tanks yesterday...I'm doing a little each day so I don't get tired of it...also did a WC on the tetra/rasbora tank...

...hope all is well with you folks...

...Liz, I left you a message on your phone yesterday asking about the tornados and your safety...then later last night I saw on here you were good!...
Happy Aquariuming,
Ron

Good afternoon Ron and everyone. It sure is a lousy day here. In my small area we have not gotten the rainfall amounts projected but it's been drizzly and ugly looking all day.

The day is still young and this thing is supposed to last until tomorrow morning so there is still a chance that we will see the amount of rain the forecasters have called for. Liz and Barb I hope you guys did ok in this storm. According to the map you should be in the clear right now.

I had a lousy night sleeping wise so I've been dragging quite a bit. No reason why. I'm feeling OK.

Someone sent me some shrimp in the mail on Saturday and I just got it today. I was surprised that there were no DOAs and even more surprised that there was no heat pack. They were packed good though and the temp of the water they came in was 64 degrees. I'm doing a slow acclimation on them now.

Have a great rest of the day everyone.

I'm sorry Ron.  I'm a bad one for not checking my voice mail.  But yes, I got through fine.  There was damage in northeast and south west Mississippi but no deaths or injuries.  Lots of tornados confirmed but most of them never touched down.

Willie, that is great news on the shrimp.  I'd never have shipped them without a heat pack but I guess shrimp are tougher than fish.  Hell, maybe fish would make it, too but it would be fool hardy to risk it.

The sun has finally come out just now but I don't think it will stay long.  It's been cold, overcast, and windy here until just this moment.  I shoveled a garden cart load of chicken shit from under the tree where they roost to the garden, but it was too uncomfortable for me to do more.

I'm trying something new.  I'm going to smoke BBQ ribs in the oven.  Google taught me how ;)  The ribs need to sit in the rub for another hour before I put them in the oven to smoke low and slow.  I've been making a lot of Asian stuff lately.  I need a change and this looks good to my mind's taste buds.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Hi, our area is under a tornado warning now, from 6pm  to midnight.  So you know I am uneasy.  Liz I tried to call you yesterday but no answer, glad to hear you are fine.  I had a nervous day worrying about one of my cats, the vet checked her out a couple hrs ago, what I had thought might be a cancerous growth on her hip is just a cyst, she drained it.  Whew, I was worried because I lost a cat years ago to cancer in the same place.  Will let you all know in the morning how this area comes through the storm.

Oh Barb, I'm sorry.  I never even noticed a missed call.  I'm glad the cat is fine.

I'd like to tell you not to worry because it does no good but that won't work with you.  You had the entire roof lift from a house you were living in once.  I'll think of you tonight.
Always move forward. Never look back.

Be safe out their Barb. Do you have a basement that you can go to if you need to? I will be looking for your post tomorrow.
